German SMEs rely on a constant willingness to innovate and continuous improvement of their work and value creation processes in order to survive in international competition. In the ProBot project, ifab is coordinating a consortium of eight partners from industry and research. The aim is to harness the potential of innovative collaborative robots (so-called CoBots) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For the ifab, the focus is on identifying and realizing the ergonomic potential of CoBots for working people. CoBot solutions will be implemented within the project and their implementation will be monitored. The knowledge gained will be summarized in a diagnostic case and made available to the public. This will also enable other SMEs to successfully implement their own CoBot solutions.
The ProBot research project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the "Future of Work" program and is supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA).
