In ARBWOL, the effects of working time models on work-life balance were investigated with the help of computer-aided simulation. The starting point of the project was the hypothesis that employees can be characterized by social roles, which characterize their private situation as well as the resulting stresses and work preferences. To this end, the stresses and preferences of employees in the service sector were determined and analyzed using a questionnaire. Based on the survey, several cluster analyses were used to identify different groups of employees who differ in terms of their working time preferences or stress situation. Finally, a simulation study will now examine how well the company's capacity requirements on the one hand and the employees' wishes on the other can be satisfied using different working time models
