In view of the increasing number of older employees in production systems, there is a growing need for assembly workstations to be designed with the needs of different generations in mind. The aim of this project is to develop a holistic concept for demographically sound workplaces, which in turn is to be achieved by analyzing the areas of people, factory and product. This includes an ergonomic assessment and design of assembly workstations as well as an employee survey to ascertain the subjective attitudes of employees.
