The KonsensOP project is dedicated to researching an assistance system for the operating theater, which is intended to relieve the burden during critical surgical procedures. Current assistance systems require active operation by the surgical staff, which can lead to additional strain on the surgical team. In order to improve existing assistance, the research project is focusing on the development of an attentively assisting operating theater. The aim is to develop an assistance system that is homogeneously integrated into the workflow of an operation. Multisensory data acquisition will be used to provide proactive and empathetic assistance in the event of stress and deviations from the surgical procedure.
Further information on the KonsensOP project can be found in this film.
